#26, but who cares. Aidan turned 1 a couple of days ago, and Mother's Day is just around the corner. I will have to say though, that my friends and family went to great lengths to make my birthday special.
Adam treated me to a fabulous stay at Montage Laguna Beach while we were in CA. It was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. When we drove up to the valet, the men asked our last name, radioed the front desk, and by the time we walked through the front doors, a lady was there to meet us with room keys and paperwork. We were given complimentary Champagne and sparkling cider (for Aidan), and our room opened out onto a beautiful, semi-private lawn with views of the tide pools and ocean below. We had our photos taken on the beach by the same, awesome photographer that took our engagement and wedding photos, and when Aidan was 4 months old. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday present (although I guess I did ask for it).
I was also showered with awesome gifts like this, this, and this, among other cute little things. Ahhhh, it's good to be spoiled.
I'm even having "the cake" tonight for dinner. My favorite cake in the world. Chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and chocolate ganache frosting and chocolate curls on top. It is so moist and amazing I can hardly wait until Adam brings it home this afternoon.
Enough about me, I promise I'll get pictures from our trip posted this weekend.
